Bicycle Rig and Pre-Visualization

I’ve spent the last week progressing on the bicycle rig and pre-visualization.

I set up the rig using Houdini’s KineFX tools, which were fun to learn, although challenging. I’ll also be responsible for animation as well, which is why I rigged the bike in the program I’m most comfortable in. There are still a lot of things I could improve, however. Need to work on the chain mechanism more, and find a way to make the whole rig run faster since it runs quite slow on Windows machines.

I also helped out with the pre-visualization. I did the first one in Maya, and then switched it over to Houdini when I decided I was going to do the rig and animation over there. I was responsible for bringing in the animated cameras from Maya, and setting up the scenes and animation for the Pre-Vis.
